April 28th, 2013|

Sooooo we did it. We added another member to the family.  Her name is Mila.  She’s a rescue that came on my show. We hear she was found abandoned along the side of the road, with brother Ashton.  Brother Ashton had already been adopted. I was intrigued by Miss Mila and decided on a short trial.  Read More →

It’s always a wonderful time when my parents roll into town.  And, they came during Fiesta – bonus!  I feel like I’ve walked a thousand miles already since their arrival, it’s been a busy time. The kids are loving time with their abuelitos and, of course, I couldn’t be happier.  Here’s a quick snapshot as Read More →

Once upon time, the stars aligned and we met.. So says, the humble caption that introduced the inside of our wedding invitation.  Today I celebrate 12 years married to my hubby.  How time flies. Project 52 Week 13: The Warrior Treatment

March 30th, 2013|

Share

Princess and Little Man got a special this week.  They got to play on a scaled down version of the Alpha Warrior obstacle course, which is coming to San Antonio next month, at Retama Park.  When I brought them out to the lot, their faces lit up when they saw what was waiting there.  But Read More →

Project 52 Week 12: My hubby, the Daredevil

March 23rd, 2013|

Share

Between teaching, coaching, mentoring and family-ing, my hubby’s plate is also pretty full these days.  Now – this: a ropes course instructor in training.  Funny thing, he’s normally not a fan of heights, so I was surprised he jumped at this opportunity. And, he’s loving this challenge.  Here’s a sweet photo he texted in the Read More →

Project 52 Week 11: My Little Twin

March 14th, 2013|

Share

Me and Little Man have two cool things in common.  A signature birthmark and a love for singing.  Guess it was fate, since his name was a play off of mine. He’s the only one that understands the need for a little tune around in the house or during a car ride.  He has some Read More →

Project 52 Week 10: Missed My Calling

March 7th, 2013|

Share

Jack the Walaroo was a little shy, but came out to play just in time for a quick snapshot. Sometimes I think I really missed my calling.  I definitely have a soft spot for marsupials. Don’t judge – but I love those boxing, butt-kicking kangaroos too!  They crack me up!

Project 52: Week 9 All dolled up

March 1st, 2013|

Share

Truth be told, I am really more of a sneakers and jeans kind of gal.  But it really is nice to get dolled up too; especially when it’s for a good cause.  Here’s a quick snapshot at yours truly at the Queen of the Vine Gala, which raised over $180,000 for the Brighton Center.    Congrats Read More →

Project 52 Week 8: Got 10 Minutes?

February 23rd, 2013|

Share

Yes, we couldn’t ignore the Harlem Shake meme.  I mean that bad boy is everywhere! Hey, it’s an opportunity to be silly! So in between production mandates, we gathered some props and started moving; knocked it out in 10 minutes. Obviously, no one but Josh (on the desk) resembles the actual dance, but it doesn’t Read More →
